What is Techno Fashion?

Techno Fashion is the second skin of the digital age. It is the hybrid between fashion design and technology, also known as wearable computing.

Techno Fashion (TF) is an alternative term for wearable technology. It was Bradley Quinn who coined the term in his 2002 book by the same name. TF will radically alter the way we live, work, love and perceive the world. Ultimately, it will alter our very humanity.

I've recently finished my master's thesis on the subject of Techno Fashion. This website is a bi-product of my academic work and I am really looking forward to share my acquired knowledge with you. As I am sure you are aware of, the Internet is flooded with information about wearable electronics. This is a virtual oasis for all of you Techno Fashion afficionados out there and my vision is to create ONE site where you can find everything you're looking for. I will gather links and information about any person, designer, institution, conference, symposium that is relevant in relation to the subject of Techno Fashion. I, myself thought the information on the subject was scarce, but I find that the industry evolves for every month that passes, which is incredibly exciting and invigorating.

In my master's thesis, I make the case for the ongoing revolution within fashion at the dawn of the new millenium. Fashion has grown tired of its own repetitive cycle, but the added element of technology offers it  a new path and unprecedented possibilities to invent, expand, and experiment. Fashion will hardly remain unchanged in the face of this techno revolution and I can't wait to see how it will evolve in the near future.
